Summer is around the corner and I don’t know about you but I have already started looking for fun activities to keep the kids busy over the summer. When I look for activities I want something not to messy, not to expensive and something the kids can do mostly on their own. Bonus if it is good for multiple age ranges.
These Sharpie Tye Dye Shirts fit the description perfectly!!
- Rubbing Alcohol
- Colored Sharpies (I found the best price at Sams Club and Costco.)
- White t-shirts; pillow cases would work too
- Plastic Cups
- Rubber bands
- Wax paper (optional)
- Eye droppers or Small tip squeeze bottles (I used small mustard and ketchup picnic bottles. They were two for $1 at Target in the bargain bins!!)
The second option is to lay the shirt flat and put wax paper in between the front and the back. Then you can draw whatever design you want and are not limited to circles. As you can see my kids did both options. I personally think the circles turned out the coolest!
Seriously such an easy project and the kids had a blast doing it. They have asked if we can do it again this year. They want to make pillow cases too!
What fun projects have you found to do with your kids this summer? Share in the comments because I am always looking!!!!
