How To Make Paper Roses

Nothing makes my day a little brighter than having a pretty bouquet of roses sitting on the kitchen table. I love having them, but I hate having them last such a short time during the warm summer weather. So, we decided to learn how to make paper roses. We tried quite a few different types, but these ended up being our favorite. All the supplies were what we had on hand, hence the bright colored pipe cleaners for stems.  :-) We also made a short demo video since it was easier to video it than do a tutorial of pictures. Enjoy!

What You Need:

  • Crepe Paper (any color)
  • Stems (pipe cleaner, sticks, floral wire, etc.) – Can add later
  • Glue of choice
  • Somewhere to display your creation

Directions:

We made a short demonstration video instead of writing out the directions. Let me know if you have any questions!

A vase is a fun way to display them! Yes, the pipe cleaners aren’t exactly elegant, but perfect for a project made with the help of some excited kiddos!

ENJOY!!!

I have tried doing a paper rose for a school project before. But I used a tie wire for the stems. Yellow seems a nice flower for a paper rose because I usually see red paper roses. I wonder where can I get pipe cleaner, is it available in hardware store? Anyway, thanks for sharing the video and insights of making paper roses.
